Charting progress in learning health systems: A systematic review of 5 years of definitions, models, and frameworks

This review synthesizes recent literature on Learning Health Systems to consolidate how LHSs are defined, modelled, and theorized since their introduction by the Institute of Medicine. In a review of 226 included articles, the review identifies common domains, underlying theories, and gaps in practice, culminating in an integrated framework to guide LHS research, policy, and implementation.
