Engagement as a mechanism of action in collaborative learninghealth systems

This commentary explores engagement as a key catalyst in Collaborative Learning Health Systems (CLHSs). It defines engagement, examines its dimensions, and highlights its role in enabling network collaboration. An agenda for research and practice intended to develop an understanding of engagement so as further to advance the theory and practice of CLHS efforts and ultimately promote the uptake of the CLHS model.
