Patient Roles and Patient Knowledge in Learning Health Systems

This perspective paper examines patient involvement in learning health systems, highlighting the need to build capacity, define patient roles in data collection and analysis, and create supportive infrastructure. It emphasizes the relational and epistemological complexity of engagement and offers six recommendations for practice, policy, and research.
